Sister Act - National Tour

Broadway’s acclaimed musical comedy based on the smash-hit film!

Find Out Why Being in Sister Act is the 'Most Exciting Thing Ever' for Lael Van Keuren

Get ready, because the fabulous nuns of Sister Act (with their sparkly habits) are arriving in Cincinnati on April 30. The national tour will play the Procter & Gamble Hall at the Aronoff Center for the Arts through May 12, and we’re bringing you an intimate look at the stars of the show. Lael Van Keuren plays Sister Mary Robert, “the baby nun,” who befriends Deloris Van Cartier (Ta’Rea Campbell) as she hides out from her gangster boyfriend at a Philadelphia convent. Van Keuren loves singing Alan Menken’s gospel-rock score, and it turns out the Tony-winning composer’s music inspired her at an early age. The actress played Belle from Beauty and the Beast in a local Disney revue at age seven and knew then she wanted to be a performer. Watch the video below to find out why Van Keuren loves making a living as a nun and why being in Sister Act is “the most exciting thing ever.”
