Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella - National Tour

A new take on Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic.

Broadway In Cincinnati & Cinderella Want You to 'Bring the Bling' to the Aronoff Center

Let's have a blinged-out ball! Together with Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Broadway In Cincinnati is announcing an opportunity to help make dreams come true for financially disadvantaged girls in the tri-state area. Patrons are encouraged to bring new or gently-used costume rhinestone jewelry when they come to see Cinderella at the Aronoff Center, playing January 6 through 18.

All donations will go directly to the local non-profit organization Kenzie’s Closet. Over 350 low-income high school students are invited to shop for prom dresses and accessories each year at Kenzie's Closet, at no cost to these junior and senior high school students. Cinderella theatergoers can be part of creating the magic and prom memories for these young ladies as Kenzie’s Closet. Donations are also accepted in advance of the show at the Aronoff Center Box Office, and at all Appearance Plus locations.

“I never dreamed that the idea for Kenzie’s Closet nine years ago would become such an integral nonprofit organization in the Greater Cincinnati community,” said founder Brynne Coletti. “I am grateful for the inspiring contributions of so many who help us continue with this mission.” Junior and senior high school women who have been referred to Kenzie’s Closet from their school principal, counselor or social service agency enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime magical afternoon and select their complete prom outfit, all provided at no cost to the student.

Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella features a completely reimagined book by Douglas Carter Beane, jaw-dropping transformations and all the moments you love—the pumpkin, the glass slipper, the masked ball—plus some surprising new twists! Be transported back to your childhood as you rediscover some of Rodgers and Hammerstein's most beloved songs, including "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible/It's Possible" and "Ten Minutes Ago" in this romantic musical.

Directed by Mark Brokaw, Cinderella earned nine 2013 Tony Award nominations, including Best Revival of a Musical and Best Book of a Musical. The production features choreography by Josh Rhodes, scenic design by Anna Louizos, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Ken Posner and sound design is by Nevin Steinberg.
