All You Need to Get By! The Stars Align as Motown The Musical Opens in Cincinnati

Cincinnati will be singing along to some of the most memorable songs in music history when Motown The Musical opens on September 8 at Procter & Gamble Hall - Aronoff Center for the Arts. The record-breaking smash hit show will play through September 20.

The show, starring Josh Tower as label founder Berry Gordy and Allison Semmes as the dazzling Diana Ross, follows Gordy’s rise from small-town dreamer to big-time record mogul. Coming along for the ride are a host of other Motown legends including Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. With over 40 classic songs such as “My Girl,” “What’s Going On,” “Dancing in the Street,” “I Heard It Through The Grapevine” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” this explosive theatrical event is the next chapter of Motown’s incredible history—and an experience you’ll never forget.

Directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, Motown The Musical features Jesse Nager as Smokey Robinson, Jarran Muse as Marvin Gaye, and Leon Outlaw, Jr. and Nathaniel Cullors as Berry Gordy's boyhood counterpart and the roles of young stars Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.
