You wanted the good times back and here they are! The 5th Avenue Theatre production of Disney's The Little Mermaid begins performances in Cincinnati on January 17. The hit musical plays Procter & Gamble Hall - Aronoff Center for the Arts through January 29.

Based on the classic animated movie, The Little Mermaid takes place in a magical kingdom below the sea, where we meet Ariel, the little mermaid who is tired of flipping her fins and longs to be part of the fascinating world on dry land. Joining her are Sebastian, Ariel’s crabby sidekick; Ursula, the evil sea witch; Triton, King of the Sea and the handsome and human Prince Eric.

The cast of The Little Mermaid features Diana Huey as Ariel, Matthew Kacergis as Prince Eric, Jennifer Allen as Ursula, Connor Russell as Flounder, Melvin Abston as Sebastian, Steven Blanchard as King Triton, Jamie Torcellini as Scuttle, Frederick Hagreen as Jetsam and Brandon Roach as Flotsam.

Featuring music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman, with additional lyrics by Glenn Slater, The Little Mermaid's score includes such classic songs as "Part of Your World," "Under the Sea," "Positoovity" and "Kiss The Girl."
