About the Show

'Mamma Mia!' plays the Aronoff Center March 10-12.

So I say thank you for the music diapers! Broadway in Cincinnati and Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, in conjunction with TriHealth, are teaming up to make a difference in the lives of Cincinnati area families in need. During each performance of the upcoming sold-out engagement of Mamma Mia!, Broadway in Cincinnati will be encouraging theatergoers to bring diapers to donate to Sweet Cheeks.

For families with financial needs, being able to afford enough clean diapers for young children can be a big problem. In fact, one in three American families struggles to afford diapers, and adding to the challenge, programs like WIC and food stamps don't cover diapers. There are over 16,000 diaper-wearing children in the Greater Cincinnati area experiencing diaper need each month.

Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank was founded to help meet this need, assisting families during what can be one of the most challenging times in a parent's life, and working to keep Cincinnati babies clean, dry and healthy. Sweet Cheeks works with local social service agencies to provide diapers to low-income as part of an overall plan to give families a hand up out of poverty. "Mamma Mia! is a musical that celebrates many things, including the joys of motherhood," says Broadway in Cincinnati general manager Genevieve Holt. "In partnership with Sweet Cheeks and TriHealth, we wanted to use the opportunity of a sold-out show that brings so many families to the theater together to shine a light on an outstanding local organization that is truly making a difference in our community. We hope to collect hundreds of packages of diapers to help further the mission of Sweet Cheeks."

The farewell tour of Mamma Mia! will play the Aronoff Center March 10 through 12. More information is available at
