Go to the Hills! National Tour of Rodgers + Hammerstein's The Sound of Music Opens in Cincinnati

Your heart will be blessed with the sound of music and you'll sing once more! The national tour of Rodgers + Hammerstein's The Sound of Music opens in Cincinnati on September 27. Directed by Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien, the landmark musical will play Procter & Gamble Hall - Aronoff Center for the Arts through October 9.

Featuring music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, The Sound of Music tells the story of the musical von Trapp family and the nun who becomes their nanny and eventual step-mother. Set in Austria on the eve of World War II, the score includes favorites such as the title song, “My Favorite Things,” “Do Re Mi,” “Edelweiss” and “Climb Ev'ry Mountain.”

Very Good Place to Start! Tickets Now On Sale for the New National Tour of The Sound of Music in Cincinnati

When you know the notes to sing, you can sing most anything! Tickets are now on sale for the new national tour of The Sound of Music, directed by Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien. The classic Rodgers & Hammerstein musical will play Procter & Gamble Hall - Aronoff Center for the Arts from September 27 through October 9. The show stars newcomer Kerstin Anderson as Maria and Ben Davis as Captain von Trapp.

Meet the cast of the new national tour of The Sound of Music, directed by Tony winner Jack O'Brien. Stars Kerstin Anderson (Maria), Ben Davis (Captain Von Trapp) and Ashley Brown (Mother Abbess) took a break from rehearsals to snap a few photos with the press. The Sound of Music tour will officially launch in Los Angeles on September 30.
